• Practical strategies for using AI to study smarter and produce better work
• How to use AI ethically and avoid academic integrity issues

 ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Aaron Driver is the inaugural Chief AI Officer at the University of New England and founder of LabNext70, UNE's applied AI lab and innovation hub. Before entering higher education, Aaron began his career as a journalist before moving into the technology sector at eBay, then founding and running his own strategic and creative agency. He later transitioned into academia, holding positions in France and at UNE Business School, before being appointed to lead UNE's AI transformation. Under his direction, LabNext70 has built and deployed enterprise AI platforms to all staff and students, established pioneering research and commercial partnerships, and is now architecting the infrastructure to democratise education at scale from regional Australia.

The University of New England (UNE) is a public Australian university based in Armidale, NSW with campuses in Tamworth, Sydney (Parramatta) and a hub in Taree. UNE was the first Australian university founded outside a capital city and has more than 70 years of experience delivering online and distance education. Today, UNE supports more than 20,000 students across Australia and globally, offering flexible study options designed to fit around work, life and regional communities.

UNE is the only Australian public university awarded the maximum 5 stars for Overall Experience 20 years in a row by the Good Universities Guide. From dedication to the student experience to their reputation for preparing industry-reading graduates, UNE consistently stands out as a leading Australian university for both undergraduate and postgraduate study.
