Think uni is just about lectures and exams? Think again. This session explores the entrepreneurship programs, incubators, and startup support available at Australian universities. Hear from someone who's been through it about how you can build real-world business skills while you study — and maybe even launch something before you graduate.

What you'll learn in this session:

• How to get started with a business idea while you're still studying
• Real examples of students who launched ventures during their degree

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Sam Brew is the Chief Student Entrepreneur at the University of New South Wales. UNSW has consistently been ranked as one of the top institutions in not only Australia, but the entire Asia Pacific, for its start up ecosystem. Sam's experience is a great reflection of that.

He's a cybersecurity founder and student of maths and economics at UNSW. Self-taught in programming from age seven with extensive open-source experience leading global teams, collaborating to solve complex problems, and designing novel solutions across domains. Currently building multi-award-winning startup Resdemou to make mass data breaches in IP protection, defence, and beyond impossible using novel cryptographic techniques.
