Studying at a regional university is a completely different experience to the big city campuses — and for many students, it's a better one. Southern Cross University shares what it's really like to study in regional Australia, from tight-knit communities to lower living costs.
What you'll learn in this session:
What studying at a regional university is actually like compared to city campuses
The practical benefits of regional study, including lower living costs and smaller classes
How to decide whether a regional university could be the right fit for you
This session is presented by Sam Clark, the Future Students Officer at Southern Cross University.
Founded in 1994 in the NSW Northern Rivers, Southern Cross University has campuses in Lismore, Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast, plus metro locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. They’re best known for pioneering the Southern Cross Model, an active-learning approach where students focus on one or two units at a time, over six-week blocks.
